General Laborer - Yard

The concrete General Laborers for the Yard assist in many areas of producing concrete panels. Some duties include patching, grinding, preparing precast panels for shipping, etc. 

The following are included; other duties may be assigned.
• Responsible to maintain a neat and orderly storage lot oriented toward maximizing efficiency in servicing the plant needs.

Applicant Skills Required:

  • Must be 18 and have High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening
  • Must be able to work with a team and have excellent communication skills
  • Team player with a calm demeanor and customer service focus
  • Must be dependable and have reliable transportation (Public transportation not available in this area)

 

Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions:

  • Must be able to life and carry up to 50lbs
  • Must be able to bend, twist, squat and climb on/off trailers, beds, ladders
  • Must be able to work well with hands and hand tools
  • Must be able to stand/walk on uneven surface for entire workday
  • It will be necessary to work in outside conditions that can include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust.

 

Miscellaneous and Job Safety Requirements:

  • Must be able to follow instructions; particularly those regarding safety
  • PPE Requirement: Steel-toed boots that must be at least 6” in height (not “tennis shoe” type), kept in good repair and meet ANSI or ASTM standards (All other PPE provided by ATMI) 
  • 40- 60 hrs per week.
  • Some Saturdays maybe required
  • No seasonal/weather interruptions, work is year-round
