Assurance awards ATMI with MRMH Award

ATMI Precast Awarded MRMH Award by Assurance

Release Date

Assurance, a March & McLennan Agency LLC, company, has awarded ATMI Precast with the 2019 Minimizing Risk, Maximizing Health (MRMH) award. The MRMH program began in 2015 and spotlights a select number of companies that have made a significant, measurable impact on not only insurance costs, but also employees and their families.  There have been less than 25 recipients of this recognition since its inception in 2015.

In 2013, ATMI Precast wanted to transform its safety programs and create a safety culture, beginning with decreasing workers' compensation costs and claims. Since 2013, ATMI Precast has exceeded industry standards by improving its workers' compensation loss ratio by 93%.  From 2017 to 2018, ATMI decreased average claim costs by 79% and saved over $300,000 in premium reductions.

"We recognized we needed to implement new protocols and initiatives in order to manage our rising workers' compensation challenges," said Mike Pelz, Vice President Operations, ATMI Precast. "This award represents our dedicated efforts to our employee's safety, as well as accomplishing lower claim costs."

ATMI Precast collaborated with business partner, Assurance, for guidance and together formulated a strategy that would lower claim costs and minimize risk while improving safety in the workplace.

"We're very pleased and proud to award ATMI Precast as an MRMH award recipient. Over the past 6 years, they've transformed their safety and workers' compensation programs and brought their initiatives to new heights," said Doug Nelson, Principal at Assurance. "The future is exciting and bright for ATMI. We're honored to be a part of it."
