Release Date

Staff and residents at the Marklund Hyde Center in Geneva are happily making use of the recently expanded locker room area which opened this fall. This expansion doubles the number of residents/students who will receive the important benefits of aquatic therapy each week while also giving therapy staff a private locker room area, offices, and storage. This building features gray 9-1/2" thick wall panels with dovetail inserts which allow for a full brick facade applied to three of the four elevations with 12" hollow core plank used for the roof.

Occupancy for the new 3-bay Maintenance Garage, built behind the Hyde Center in Geneva, is on schedule to take place this winter. This building features three (3) maintenance bays, offices, and a storage mezzanine. The exterior walls are 9-1/2" architectural wall panels with white cement, cream tint, and an acid etch finish. The 10" hollow core mezzanine is supported by 9-1/2" gray interior wall panels.

With the delivery of of precast walls and installation of the roof, the Nathan Education Center in Elgin is fully enclosed and on schedule for opening in the spring of 2023. This newest Marklund site will house classrooms for the Bridge Builder program, Marklund's first offsite Day Services program, as well as additional classrooms for Marklund Day School and a shared Multipurpose area. This building is a 16k SF facility featuring 9-1/2" architectural wall panels with thin brick and a 12" hollow core roof supported by precast columns and beams.

All three (3) buildings were constructed by FCL Builders and erected by Waubonsee Development.
