ATMI Precast Completes Darul Amaan Senior Housing Construction

This five-story mixed use residential and retail structure is located in the Ukrainian Village neighborhood of Chicago. The project was constructed on an infill city lot which presented erection challenges and the final phase of the building was erected from Western Avenue. The project consists of first level retail and four levels of residential. The second level contains an expansive green roof area for residents to gather. The structure is all precast including load bearing architectural exterior walls with white cement, tint, thin brick and excessive mold and cornice work. The balance of the structure consists of interior demising walls, hollowcore plank including roof area, and elevator and stair shafts. Darul Amaan Senior Housing was completed in 2013 and constructed by Burling Builders. Architect was Norr, and erected by Waubonsee Development.
