Metra Rail Project

This project is a two building development consisting of a new training facility and new diesel shop for Metra at their Rock Island District 47th Street Yard in Chicago.  The insulated precast panels are clad back to the structural steel frame.  The exposed exterior of the panels have an architectural concrete mix with areas of projections achieved with mold work and also have areas of thin brick cast into the panels.  These buildings were designed under primary consultant, HNTB Corporation; architect, Muller & Muller, Ltd.; structural engineer, Bowman, Barrett & Associates, Inc.; and are being built with general contractor, F.H. Paschen.  We are very proud to have worked very closely with the F.H. Paschen with respect to schedule and logistics as this was the key in making this a successful project.
