ATMI Precast Completes Work at Concordia University

Release Date

ATMI Precast has completed work on a new five-story dormitory facility located on the Concordia University campus in River Forest, Illinois. This project is an all precast structure with corridor load bearing interior walls and architectural load bearing exterior walls. The exterior walls included embedded thin brick with white cement, tint, and a light abrasive blast. The project also includes the stair and elevator cores as precast concrete.

The project was designed by Hollabird and Root and the General Contractor is Ragnar Benson. All erection is by Waubonsee Development.

"The building looks great and Concordia is very happy with the quality of the precast including the local neighborhood that (initially) had some concerns. This project is a great example of why this type of system should be used more often. Thank you for your service on this project! It was great working with ATMI and we're looking forward to working with you again in the future!"
