History

Since the company's inception, we have completed hundreds of projects throughout the area. We provide precast wall panels each year for 100 buildings on average, which is roughly 40% of all major industrial precast buildings built each year in the Chicagoland area.

Our Production capabilities and number of projects have increased steadily over the past ten years. In 1994, ATMI Precast produced over 1.4 million sq. ft. of precast wall panels. In 2005, over 6 million sq. ft. of wall panels were produced for more than 150 large industrial buildings .

The erection of our precast products is as important as the design and production. A qualified erection contractor for over 20 years, Waubonsee Development provides ATMI with sole source erection responsibility for all products produced by ATMI. Performing work in a large metropolitan area requires versatility and capacity to serve each job requirement and most of all support the baseline schedule. With multiple high end capacity cranes and rigging, experienced work crews, and years of experience, Waubonsee is well suited for the challenge. Waubonsee Development is a State of Illinois certified WBE.

The addition of this facility has allowed ATMI to service its national accounts in the Midwest and provide a strong local base for the expanding Indianapolis warehouse market. Currently, the plant is capable of producing 2,000,000 square feet of product which includes wall panels, solid slabs, beams and columns, and specialty pieces. The plant is located on 22 acres and is strategically designed to increase production capacity as necessary.
